Lemke Land Surveying Announces New Senior Leadership

NORMAN, Okla., (February 2, 2018)– Norman-based Lemke Land Surveying (LLS), announced today senior leadership changes for their team. Founder, Steve Lemke, will step down after successfully leading Lemke Land Surveying since its inception in 1994. LLS has appointed Kelly Henderson, PLS to serve as its new Executive Director. Lemke will remain active with the company and serve as a consultant as it continues to redesign company operations, for long term success.

"I’m very excited about Kelly taking over the reins of Lemke and I’m looking forward to enjoying the increased potential for our company under his leadership. I cannot overstate the contribution that Kelly’s character, abilities, and instincts have made to the success of Lemke since his arrival in 2000. I’m proud and blessed to have him as a dear colleague and friend,” says Lemke.

“I’m honored and excited to lead this organization alongside such a talented group of professionals. I look forward to the future success of Lemke Land Surveying and am grateful for this opportunity,” says Henderson.

Henderson has over 30 years of experience in the land surveying and civil engineering industry. His technical expertise and extensive experience has been applied to a broad range of survey projects including: engineering design, architectural, boundary, highway design, control networks, subdivisions, and construction staking.

Lemke Offers Cutting Edge UAV Technology Services

Lemke Land Surveying (LLS) is a complete end-to-end UAV data collection provider. The team at LLS can collect, analyze, and distribute aerial data quickly and more cost effectively than ever before. LLS is fully licensed, with their own insured pilot guaranteeing they are always ready to meet their clients’ specific needs.

LLS recently provided professional surveying services for a soil remediation project in South Central Oklahoma. The site was too dangerous to perform a traditional survey and would have created safety hazards for their workers. Using “survey grade” aerial drone technology, the team created a true, certifiable engineering survey without having to climb through the hazardous terrain. Drone technology allowed LLS surveyors to complete the on-site work in less than six hours, whereas a traditional survey would have taken 3-4 days with exposure to unnecessary safety hazards due to the unstable steep slopes.

Through drone technology, our client is able to “virtually” explore and closely inspect the pit site from the created model and imagery. The imagery can be viewed by the client three-dimensionally with a software extension (at no cost) which includes viewing, printing, and measuring tools that are accurate within 1/10 of a foot. This means being able to perform follow-up site visits without leaving their desk!

LLS drone surveys are overseen by a Professional Land Surveyor and/or a Professional Engineer and performed by a certified licensed drone pilot. They are true, certifiable engineering surveys, not just aerial pictures and videos. They are ideal for cradle-to-grave progress monitoring and reports and are cost effective, quick, and safe.

Lemke Land Surveying Reaches Local Students

MOORE, Okla., – Lemke Land Surveying (LLS) was invited on behalf of the Oklahoma Society of Land Surveyors (OSLS) to speak at Southridge Junior High’s career day earlier this month. Southridge Junior High, located in Moore, Oklahoma, has approximately 500 students.

Representing both LLS and OSLS was Kelly Henderson, PLS. Henderson serves as District 6 Director for the OSLS and has over 30 years of experience in both land surveying and civil engineering. Henderson spoke to several groups of students about what it means to be a Professional Land Surveyor and how school is important in helping you to become one.

Students were shown actual plan sets from a project LLS recently performed at Southridge, which helped the children to see how even they have been affected by surveying.

Lemke Demonstrates GIS Solutions for Oil and Gas Operators

Lemke Land Surveying hosted free GIS demonstrations at this years’ Oklahoma Oil & Gas Expo.

The demonstrations were conducted by Lemke’s own, Gary Smith, Director of Geographic Information Systems. Smith has over 25 years of GIS experience and routinely prepares custom GIS solutions for small, independent oil and gas operators.

The Oklahoma Oil & Gas Expo is the largest event of its kind in Oklahoma and is the only one organized and hosted by local industry volunteers. More than 3,600 attendees gather at the expo each year to network, learn, and make connections. Our company, under Enviro Clean, has been a platinum sponsor of the Oklahoma Oil & Gas Expo for many years.
