Lemke Attends Ribbon Cutting for MAPS 3 Streetcar Project
December 19, 2018
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Lemke Land Surveying celebrated with fellow leaders from across the city as the MAPS 3 Oklahoma City Streetcar began service.
The ribbon cutting was held early last week outside of Leadership Square Plaza, near the Business District Platform, on the streetcar’s Downtown Loop.
Lemke Land Surveying had the privilege of serving as a subcontractor to Jacobs Engineering and performed the design survey for the streetcar.
The streetcar will be important to the economic development of our entire city, provide viable transportation for visitors and residents alike, and will encourage a more user-friendly approach to navigating our downtown area streets.
The OKC Streetcar has two route options: the 4.8-mile Downtown Loop and 2-mile Bricktown Loop. The streetcar serves 22 platforms with five streetcars, which ride on rails flush with the street.
